How to Access ScienceNOW
Our news portal includes ScienceNOW daily news stories from the Science Magazine news team; our ScienceShots image gallery; and links to a variety of content and features elsewhere on the Science sites.
- ScienceNOW Daily News items are free to all users for the first four weeks after initial publication -- just click and go. (You can always get a quick list of all of our free ScienceNOW content by selecting the "All Free Articles" link on our navigation bar.)
- After four weeks, ScienceNOW Daily News stories become a part of our searchable premium archive of daily news, free access to which is open to individual AAAS members (who also receive access to all Science content on the site) and to institutional Science subscribers.
- ScienceShots, our collection of interesting, novel, or amusing scientific images and accompanying write-ups, can be browsed for free by all visitors to the site.
- In addition to these items, our News home page includes links to a variety of news articles from other sources, including Science Magazine, other Science Web sites, and elsewhere. Most of these items are premium content that requires an AAAS membership or subscription to the publication of interest, or can be purchased on a pay-per-article basis. We've tagged these items on our News homepage with a subscription-only icon (
).
In addition, our articles frequently contain links to external Web sites that may have their own registration or subscription requirements for access.
